Claudia Walker of HBCU Prep School Invited to White House

For a couple of weeks, I've been hinting that I had a special surprise in store. And I have to admit that February 2023 has been our most epic month on record. In case you missed it, we started Black History Month with our Target debut and ended it with an invitation to The White House. That's right....The White House.
On February 28th, my 14-year old daughter and I were invited to The White House, on behalf of HBCU Prep School to participate in a roundtable on "The State of Cybersecurity in the Black Community." We had the privilege of engaging in a much-needed conversation with White House administration officials and community leaders about providing more equitable access, outcomes, and opportunities for the Black community in the tech world.
As a result of our participation in the roundtable, I'm excited to announce that HBCU Prep School's next book series will focus on cybersecurity. We're partnering with organizations like Black Girls In Cyber, Blacks In Cyber, and #ShareTheMicInCyber to teach children how to stay safe online and introduce them to different professions within cybersecurity. I'm incredibly grateful for this opportunity and excited to continue to create books that educate and inspire the next generation of leaders.
