Proud to be an HBCU Alumni. While reading this book to my son it brought back memories from being on the yard. The cookouts, homecomings and the HBCU culture.
I love this this activity book. I think it’s got great activities and really sharp illustrations that kids love. Also it can plant seeds and prepare them for anHBCU education.
These books are a wealth of information. It’s presented in a fun and engaging manner. I use them with my Sunday School students to help them learn more about HBCUs, our culture, and Black excellence.
Our 10 year old was so excited when she read this book. With her Mom(Xavier/AKA), Dad(Morehouse/Omega), Big Sis(Jackson State/AKA), & now Big Brother @ Morehouse all HBCU-proud, she was familiar with some of its content & she was so thrilled about it. Her face just lit up with the biggest smile. This book is “A Must Have” for every home to become more familiar with all of the HBCUs around the country and to put a smile on each face!
I only wish there was a digital version for me to use in my class. But I loved sharing it with my students in my class
